Great weekend in Buffalo at the APBA and ACBS vintage regatta. Weather was perfect which brought out large crowds. Took the new 48CU In hydro and managed to collect more history an the 3 time National Champion boat. Some good pics on Vintage Hydroplanes in the photo section--community center.

Bill; -good looking boat, and it even came with its own yellow cap.
That will save u $$ making your own
Can't wait see/hear it run
Is it an alky?
For those who have forgotten, or too young to know, this was the 48" i/b classs, popular up to the 70s, and many were run as kneelers.
Engine was the SOHC Crosely car motor, four cylinder, 750cc.
Croselys were produced in OH from '39 to '52, but the motor lived on as a marine engine, Fageol, and as an outboard, Bearcat.
One of the 1st big o/b 4 strokes, but well before its time.

Hi Brian--yes she is a beauty. The deck on the left side and the cowl got heat damage in the fire(guys shop burned down) so the glass and paint has to be fixed--winter project. The motor is all new and gas powered--I didnt want to play around with alky. Nice hat EH? and I have a jacket to match with the boat name on it as well---just like a kid with a new toy. We talked at Buffalo about a Canadian regatta with Bill Fisk and the APBA guy and they a all for it. Barrie area is at the top of the list so far but I will keep you posted.Cheers Bill.
